Michael with a few friends, took all of the squash out and planted one of them in the soil and now the plot right next to it looks a little messy and the plants roots are coming out.

In the garden the plants are drying out, they are  brown and dry.  One prediction is that it is just too hot here that the plants don’t get enough water. It’s winter so the plants might have even a harder time just growing and healing from the heat.

Today the garden is looking healthy, it is healing and at the same time it’s dying. The squash leaves are falling off but the thing is,the leaves are completely gone and I have a feeling someone went back there during thanksgiving weekend and cut the leaves, without it more squash can’t grow.

It looks like the squash leaves are some what dying, they don’t look like they’re in good health and the carrots are not in good condition ether, they are getting stepped on and we don’t even have a clue of who goes back there.

Yesterday we got some new cool looking trees that hopefully will sell at  our school bazaar tomorrow. Some students will be working in the garden while others will be working in the greenhouse. The students that are working in the back will help someone if they want to buy a tree.

During period 3,  Eli went in the back of the garden doing our thing and when we went to see the kale, it looked like it really grew over the past days because during the salad bration the kale was small, and it wasn’t as small now it’s a pretty good size. The macadamia nut tree is ok, but it doesn’t get any water whatsoever, so Eli had to water it. Two ways to fix add a sprinkler there or move one closer.

After our little salad-bration some chickens went back there and ate through the kale. We found some new footprints in the carrot section, and it is very odd because:

  1. Everyone was in the room
  2. Some kids went back there with me getting some more vegetables (Tracks weren’t there)
  3. can somebody be coming during the weekend to do something to the garden.

Today our focus was mainly on the papaya trees planted in the garden. We are planning to harvest and sell plants at the school bazaar.

The garden is going great and on our way there we saw a few chickens so that pretty much proves that the chickens have been eating the plants. In the near future we need to put up a fence or something to keep the chickens out. Like a greenhouse around the garden. Looking back on some pictures it looks like birds are coming through the garden as well for a snack.

There are a lot of snails infesting the garden some in the squash, some in other plants and even some coming from the classrooms. There are also to much mushrooms in the garden, Michell said they are supposed to be good for the garden but there is just too much. We also need the workers that work there on the bazaar today to talk to and to make both the greenhouse and garden presentable.
