Today Eli, a student, went to the garden to take pictures. He saw that some Hawaiian Chili Peppers were turning red. He also saw that there are some squash growing. There was no squash growing in that bed before, but now there is.
Today Ian, Eli, Bryce, Julia and Marichelle went to the garden and noticed that there were a lot of mushrooms there. The mushrooms are supposed to be good for the garden but there is just a whole bunch of them. There is also a vertical garden growing some vegetables in it.They saw that the cilantro got bent over by the wind and a carrot that got eaten by a snail.
There is a little problem with the garden, there are white butterflies all around. Our prediction is that since we didn’t spray any of our organic pesticide all of our plants are being exposed to bugs and insects. That might even be the reason we have been finding cocoons and bits from different insects. The first group of Hawaiian Chili Peppers is starting to ripen.
Today in the garden the beats were out of the soil. You can either see half of the beat or see more than half. It’s crazy how fast they grow! The garden is being invaded by white butterflies. It’s already a week so their cocoons will hatch sometime next week. We are currently looking over and under all of the plants to see if we can get rid of the cocoons.
Today me and Eli only took four pictures due to the rain, but later in the day me and Eli will head out and take more pictures.
Everything is going great in the garden, the Hawaiian chili peppers are starting to grow, tomatoes are starting to ripen and the basil is starting to heal as well as everything else.
Today the garden was doing great. In the far tomato patch, at the bottom the tomatoes are growing healthy and ripe. There are no problems so far. Everything is going well and how we planned for once.
Today Jose and Eli headed out to the garden and they immediately saw that some tomatoes are starting to grow into ripe tomatoes. They also saw that there is a whole lot of mushrooms. It’s good for the garden but it just doesn’t look good.Eggplants are growing good as well. There was none last week and now there is like 5 so the garden is doing great in a way where there is only 1 worry. Some carrots were trampled over night and Eli predicts it’s homeless people because he saw some of them come to the school when he was passing by the school. It’s a good prediction but the thing is Jose doesn’t want the guilt of it, after all they are human.
